Wandered in here without much planning and was pleasantly surprised! Food was well made and delicious! A little overpriced, but considering the location near all the tourist places that isn't surprising. It isn't as egregious as some of the places around it.
The good - the gelato was great, our server was very nice and attentive. The not so good - for the money, pizza was small and very average. Super thin and toppings kept falling off, not worth the money. Also, most of the restaurant staff moved about in a frenzied pace which doesn't make for a relaxing experience. Our table was basically almost inside the kitchen (shouldn't be there), so we got up close and personal with what was going on between the manager and staff. I don't really see this place as a good value for what you're getting.
Fantastic house-made gelato! Highly recommend. And the brick oven Neapolitan pizza is terrific. Wish we would have found this place earlier in our stay. Very attentive service in the dining room at dinner and finished off with a cappuccino and gelato. Don't leave town without eating here! Molto bene
Listen, I was dragged here by my girlfriend. The gelato is good I suppose. But not necessarily worth what they're charging for it. If you're down with overpriced gelato go get you some.
Excellent food and service!! Portions were perfect. It’s a must if you are looking for a casual family meal.
The gelato was phenomenal! And, despite that they were getting ready to close up for the night we asked for a pizza and they made a great pie as well! I'll point out that I'm pretty particular about my pizza. Give this place a try.
The staff are amazing and the gelato and sorbeto flavours are interesting and fantastic. Pineapple Sage was a surprise and a delight on the taste buds
Pizza is off the chain. If you have room for dessert stop by the Gelato counter. You won't be disappointed!
They have very delicious pizza with a great service staff.
Always a pleasant place to go to for a good meal, although at some point of the day they stop serving menu items and just serve pizza. Their pizza is good, a bit pricey and depending on who is on the pizza station, there's always a difference in how your pie comes out. At the end of your meal there is great ice cream with a variety of of flavors. One question though... what happened to the mixologist they had? I had to instruct the the waitress on how to make a drink they used to have on their menu. I'm still fond of this location though....but not the others.
Best Napolitan style pizza in the city. Hands down! They import the water for their dough!
This place sells very good Italian ice cream in many many flavors. They offer dairy free, nut free, whatever free and the guy in the counter is a real showman. First it seemed expensive but portions are huge. And you can taste everything before ordering. A must go place.
Friendly service, pizza is small ( small slices) , looks more individual pizza than pizza to share with family
Love the gelatos. Try the coconut and the blood orange.
Pizza is good. The main appetizer is totally recommended.
Really interesting food, nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. The service was good. The gelato was great for desert!
Great tasting and nice location. Wish there were more selections and larger portions considering the higher end prices. It's a good place for quick gelato but wouldn't call it a must visit.
Food wasnt that great, and the service was a little lacking as well. Won't be back for food, but the gelato would bring me back for dessert.
Brick oven pizza was perfect. Service was great. Home made gelato was amazing. If you are in the heart of old Philadelphia, this is a must try.
Capo Giro gelati up front. Gapo Giro pizza in the back. Wood fired and domed brick oven like I first encountered in Napoli. The 900 degree oven bakes the pie in minutes. They use high quality ingredients and make their own pizza dough. It all bakes into one tasty pie. Artisanal quality. Fair price.
Gelato, food, decent beer selection. Great service. Nice place to go near the Liberty Bell.
Excellent fig salad. With hazelnuts.Pizza is very good too. One of the better ones in this side of the Atlantic.
Excellent appetizers and good entrees. The gelato is delicious.
absolutely scrumptious appetizers (try the fried potatoes!), pizza, and gelato. insane it's not more crowded every night, especially with the quick and friendly service and well-designed interior
Great over baked pizza customer service and gelato, what else can you ask for!
The food is good but I don't like the feel of it and also they always have a long wait
it’s so awesome, everything was perfect.food, service, atmosphere,, you must go this place if you visit philadelphia. i super recommend this place
Gelatos Amazing. The young lady that works there is Awesome. I visited on st patrick day which it was crazy down there but well worth it.
All gelato is delicious and made on site. Coffee is all smooth, rich and traditional. The pizza was was delicious flavorful and freshly baked in a wood oven on site. The staff was very nice, accommodating and willing to have you try gelato flavors to make your final selections which is hard because they have have so many flavors and all deliciously creamy, rich and full of natural pure flavor. Would go back whenever in Philly again.
Great pizza. It's legit. The Diavola was as good as we had in Italy. Pass on the fried rissoto balls. Good service.
Company holiday luncheon, so I didn't get the check, but the food: charcuterie, appetizers, salad and pizza were all delicious! Didn't have the Gelato, but standing in front of the display case took me right back to Italy. Recommended!
Poor staff service. Too much up selling. Overpriced low quality pizza.Edit: Rather than providing water complimentary, they started off asking if we wanted to purchase bottled fresca. The service went downhill from there.
Very good pizza and gelato, especially the chocolate. The construction in front made it a little hard to find, but well worth it.
I was one a one week trip to Philly and visited a museum across the street and one of the staff recommended this place. I had pizza and a few of the 300 gelato flavors. It was all so damn good i spent an hour looking for parking just so i could eat there one last time before I went back to New York
Pizza as I like it. Thin crust! If it is to much for you you can take the rest home
Gelato is as good as any I had in Italy. Margarita pizza was better than what I've tried in Naples. Nice selection of Italian wines. Free samples of gelato and wine are a nice touch. I can't wait to go back.
Gelati, dessert alcoholic drinks, food. Everything delicious under one roof.
A little expensive but really good.
The pizza oven needs heat on the bottom so the crust cooks - it was mushy yuck. Not to mention pricy $15.00 for a mushy pizza. However our waiter was great and they had a pretty good beer and wine selection. The gelato was also good. I wouldn't go back unless they fix the mushy pizza by checking the heat distribution in the oven.
What a realxed and matured atmosphere. Staff is very attentive to our every need. Food is Amazing!!! Price is so moderate it allows me to be a repeating customer. Thank you Capofitto and staff.
This place is AWESOME! Walked around the city, looking for a frozen drink on a hot day... ended up here... two hours later, we had a few drinks, gelato, coffee, and had chatted with Charlene, Sandy, and Will - all were super cool!!! We cannot wait to go back to try the pizza, but to also catch up with the great people that work there! Thanks for a great time and awesome drinks!!
Just wanted to get a quick bite of pizza on a Sunday evening. There wasn't a lot open so we ended up at Capofitto. The food was delicious - Bibb lettuce salad with goat cheese and Margarita pizza! One star off though because the pizza was very slow to arrive. Our waiter did a good job being attentive and keeping bread on our table and drinks filled, but with only one small wood fire oven, our quick bite ended up not being so.
Very good food. Great service.
Very cute, prices are pretty reasonable. It's interesting because it's sit down pizza in back, but when you first walk in there's a homemade gelato station. Then there's a bar where you can sit and get drinks with the pizza/restaurant in backThe service was above average. Overall, great experience!
Cozy, intimate space with quick and charismatic service. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a long wine list and a range of beer options. The pizza is spectacular, the fried potatoes are now one of my favorites and the gelato is phenomenal. Great place.
Excellent service, food is phenomenal
Food was good, prices were high. We enjoyed the gelato!
Omg. New favorite spot. The sorbetto cocktails.... delicious!
Very good pizza. The ice cream is amazing! The service is also good
Delicious gelato! They have so many different choices, all of them flavorful. The cashier had no problem letting us sample multiple flavors. They have a full bar and serve pizza. Would love to come back to try those during happy hour.
